Metro’s LIFE Program invites you to a Discounted Fares Event at Union Station on Dec. 8 – metro.net

Take advantage of our transit discounts! Join us at Union station on Thursday, December 8, for a LIFE Program Discounted Fares Event. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the East Portal of Union Station.

This event will provide on-site enrollments by LIFE Program staff and connect customers with other discounted fare programs at Metro and Metrolink. To learn more about these programs, click on the links below. Metro’s Low-Income Fare is Easy (LIFE) Program – LIFE offers savings such as discounted monthly and weekly transit passes, or 20 free rides each month. Sign up now to use your discounts on LA Metro and other participating transit agencies.

The income eligibility guidelines are as follows:

Household Size Annual Income

1 $41,700 or less

2 $47,650 or less

3 $53,600 or less

4 $59,550 or less

5 $64,350 or less

6 $69,100 or less

Free 90-day pass for new LIFE enrollees!

New patrons get a free 90-day pass after signing up (not valid for riding Metro Express Bus or J Lines). After the free pass expires, patrons will be able to load the LIFE discount fare onto their TAP cards.

Please bring the following:

· Photo ID

· TAP card, if you have one

· Proof of income (check stub, Medi-Cal, EBT, Social Security award, tax return or any proof of public benefit)

  • you have the option to self-certify your income

Metrolink’s Low-Income Discount Program – Metrolink is now offering a 50% discount on any Metrolink ticket or pass to riders with a valid California Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card.

Metrolink’s Corporate Partner Program – Metrolink’s Corporate Partner Program (CPP) is a pre-tax benefit program that allows companies and organizations the ability to offer transit benefits to their employees using a maximum of $280/month per employee.

Metro’s GoPass Program – The GoPass program allows students in participating k-12 schools and community colleges to ride all buses and trains operated by Metro and participating transit agencies completely free of charge.

Metro’s On the Move Riders Program – On the Move empowers older adults with the information and confidence to travel on fixed-route transportation, by providing one-on-one and/or group travel training, and informational transit tours.
