Following the eviction of Alyssa Snider on “Big Brother 24,” only four players remained in the running to win the $750,000 grand prize: Taylor Hale, Brittany Hoopes, Monte Taylor and Matthew “Turner” Turner. Taylor proved her worth by winning the Head of Household competition centered around Julie Chen Moonves‘ wardrobe, which secured her spot in the Top 3. But remember, no matter who she nominated for eviction, this week would all come down to the Veto winner, as that person had the power to determine which two houseguests would be sitting on the block come eviction night. So how’d it all play out? Let’s go!

9:00 p.m. – “Previously on ‘Big Brother’!” In the 31st episode, the house seemed to flip-flop between whether they were voting out Alyssa or Taylor. Ultimately it came down to a tie, with Brittany voting out Taylor and Turner voting out Alyssa. As Head of Household, Monte had to show his cards by breaking the tie, and he chose to send Alyssa to jury. Later, a live HOH comp took place in the backyard with Taylor securing victory. Who will she nominate for eviction?
9:04 p.m. – With the HOH key around her neck on Day 72, Taylor knew she’d make it to finale night, but what she needed to figure out is who voted to evict her over Alyssa and why. Turner saw Brittany’s vote against Taylor as a “slimy” move to try to pin it on him, but that wasn’t necessarily her plan — she actually wanted Taylor out. Brittany’s actual plan was to try to get Turner to give Alyssa a sympathy vote by voting out Taylor so that Brittany could swoop in to vote Taylor out. In any event, Turner immediately went on a campaign around the house to ensure Monte and Taylor knew that Brittany was the vote to evict Taylor, in order to secure that all of them would be targeting Brittany for eviction this week.
9:10 p.m. – Despite it being clear to Turner and Monte that Brittany voted to evict Taylor, Brittany lied to Taylor and said she voted to evict Alyssa. Taylor was actually not sure how the votes fell because she thought Turner’s reaction was forced and staged, but ultimately it didn’t matter to her who did it because she was already in the finale. For her, it wasn’t only about the money because Taylor also wanted to be one more Black woman to make it to finale night and hopefully become the first to win a regular season of the show.
9:16 p.m. – Ahead of her nominations, Taylor knew that all that matters would be the Veto winner. With that in mind, Taylor broke the news to Brittany that she’ll be going on the block and to Monte that she plans to give him the sole vote for the week. Taylor also told Monte that if Brittany wins the Veto that she’d evict Turner, but Monte was not buying that.
9:20 p.m. – Later, Turner attempted to have a conversation with Brittany about the vote. He said that he wished she would have told him she was voting out Taylor, but Brittany kept her mouth shut. Turner continued that it was “slimy” for her to use his friendship with Alyssa as a pitch to not vote her out, and though Brittany didn’t reply she later said in the DR that the actual “slimy” move was to vote out his good friend. Brittany knew she couldn’t say anything of substance to Turner because he’d take anything she said back to the others. Naturally, he immediately ran up to the HOH room to recount the “conversation” to Taylor and Monte. Turner got emotional and started crying about how he voted Alyssa out, but Taylor wasn’t sure if it was an act because she still had “shady feelings” about both him and Brittany.
