Cass County residents have opportunities to enjoy art Saturday as the Cass County Arts Alliance present ArtRageous and the Swing into Spring craft show returns to Twelve Mile. The Cass County Arts Alliance (CCAA) will host an ArtRageous Golf Outing at 9 a.m. at the Logansport Golf Club, 20 Cedar Island. Individual entry is $50 or teams are $200. Teams may still sign up for the event on Friday at the Golf Club.

The event will also feature a silent auction, music by Mike Almon (3:30-5:30 p.m.), a canvas painting lesson by a Bob Ross instructor (1:30-4 p.m.), canvas painting with Teresa Boucher ($40), unlimited snacks by The Logansport Golf Club, a 50/50 raffle and a live auction at 6 p.m. A cash bar will be also be available.

Items up for auction include an air fryer, golf bag, a golf wagon, a Sherri Brown oil painting, gift cards from Walmart and Home Depot, art prints from Teri Partridge and Russ Anderson and more.

Guests are welcome for the entire day or may choose a desired activity. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Cass County Arts Alliance and its partners: Civic Players of Logansport, Junior Civic Players of Logansport and The State Theatre Preservation Society.

Barb Hanlon, vice president of the CCAA, said the organization’s goal is to “enhance the quality of life in Cass County and surrounding areas.”

The Twelve Mile Swing into Spring Craft show will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The show will feature artisan, craft and handmade vendors and takes place in the Twelve Mile Community Building, 8030 E. Indiana 16. Breakfast and lunch is available downtown at the Firehouse Café.

Thirty booths will be available for browsing and will include items such as handmade baby clothes, rugs and toolboxes, pet products such as treats, leashes and engraved dog tags, candles, soap, lotion and food items such as cookies, noodles and angel food cake.

“People come from all over to get these noodles,” said Elizabeth Thomas, an event organizer.

Thomas said all of the items on sale will be original pieces and the majority of vendors come from Cass, Fulton and Peru Counties.

“Twelve Mile is a little bit off the map,” said Thomas. “It’s outside of Cass County enough that I sometimes think people forget that Twelve Mile is here. And I feel like our little community has a lot to offer.”

Temperatures will dip down to 81 degrees for art lovers but there is a 60 percent chance of rain during the day, the National Weather service reported.
